Dries and Sharon-Ann founded Makarios Properties in 2004.
They are a husband and wife team and therefore compliment each other in the field of Real Estate with a good blend of logic and heart felt property
endeavors.
Always discussing every property with a balanced view of important matters
which so many times are ignored or overlooked, because of the lack of a
man’s focal point and understanding, or a woman’s preference and
desires toward selling or purchasing the right residential dwelling, small
holding or commercial and industrial properties on the market.
They are also familiar with the current market related prices and thus able to guide buyers or sellers by
experience.
Makarios Properties covers the Swartland district, however concentrates on Moorreesburg.
Dries came out of a Mechanical Engineering background and Sharon-Ann out of Banking and Book
Keeping.
They are both principals of Makarios Properties and certified estate agents.
They also had their own wooden structure housing manufacturing business, and therefore has experience
in the building industry, thus understand more about property than just marketing.
They also spent some time overseas to visit other estate agents in Canada, America and Europe to gain
More experience in the line of architectural designs and real estate planning and decor.
Their main goal is to strive for happy, satisfied and blessed customers and
clients.
To do honest, fair and loyal business with integrity and fidelity.
To assure and sustain professional long lasting relationships and
friendships in the corporate world of real estate.
Makarios Properties are always ready to guide and work through customer and client’s property needs
and requirements and make sure you are well informed about what the town offers, the property in view
offers - and to purchase accordingly - as focal point.
Makarios Properties are one of the most established and well known Estate Agencies in Moorreesburg and
tend to keep it that way.
The name Makarios is derived from Greek which means – happy, blessed and prosperous
- thus defines their purpose and goal of service.

“A Good and fair code of ethics for real estate agents should enshrine the golden rule of, “Do unto others
as you would have others do unto you” or if you prefer,
“Do not do unto others as you would not have them do unto you”.
I believe that the new Code of conduct which was published in the
Government Gazette on 24 December 1992 and which will come into
operation on 1 April 1993, conforms to this standard. Worldwide,
business is experiencing a moral re-awakening.
For too long the question asked was “is it legal?” instead of “is it right?” A society or industry which
tolerates actions that are legal but ethically indefensible, courts disaster.
